FACE YOUR FEARS



Growing up, I used to be scared of dogs, it was so bad that if I see a dog anywhere I'll either reverse or hide.

So as a teenager staying with her aunt and living her best life, her neighbour decides to get a dog, not just one but two dogs, on seeing these dogs I was terrified. I couldn't go out when the dogs are outside, I was always hiding, it was that bad☹.

One day, I went out and on coming back home, I found the dogs outside unchained. At that moment, I was tired of hiding/running, I wanted to go into the house but I was so scared.

After roaming around for a while, I just mustered the courage to go inside knowing fully that the dogs will bark and try to chase me but, while the dogs were barking and walking towards me, I ignored them and continue walking, they got tired and stopped. I was relieved and never again did I get scared of dogs.

Most times, we allow our fears to have so much power over us, impending us from achieving our dreams. We fail to understand that the more we get scared of things the more power it has over us

As Christians, we have been given the power to overcome any and every circumstances, including fear.

Hence, we can stand up to it and by reminding ourselves of what God says.

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind". (KJV)

Hebrews 13:6 tells us, So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?". (NIV)

God, Himself tells us in Isaiah 41:13, "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (NIV)

John 14:27 adds, " Peace I leave with you, The peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Once again, Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”


If you read through the entire Scriptures you will discover that there are over 350 fear not in the Bible.

Whenever you are faced with any circumstances, don't forget to hold on to these words.


Face your Fear, for you are more than Conqueror and a Victor!!!

WHAT IF EASTER DIDN'T EXIST?

Death laid his hands on Jesus. It put Jesus in a tomb. There was a stone in the mouth of that tomb and the seal of the Roman government was placed upon that tomb. Little wonder why a lot of people fall for the wrong reasons.
