How To Live A Fruitful Life.
“A disciplined mind leads to happiness, and an undisciplined mind leads to suffering.” This quote should become everyone’s motto if they want to live a fruitful life. We all know the fast-paced nature of life in the modern-day world. There is too much work to do, too little time to do it, and on top of it all, there is cut-throat competition.
For one to be able to stay through to his or her course, such person needs Self Discipline.
Contrary to common belief, self-discipline does not mean being harsh toward yourself or living a
Self-control is listed in the Bible as one of the Fruits of the Spirit which is a sign that Christ is in you.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, FORBEARANCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL. Against such things, there is no law.
If we let our desires lead our decisions, our lives (and our bodies) can quickly spin out of control.
Self-control is a discipline that God grows in us when we continually choose to die to our flesh and live in Him. fulfilling those cravings feels so good at the time, but Christ offers us a freedom that is only found in honouring those healthy boundaries.
It is so frustrating to know what is right and still not be able to manage to do it.
Sin runs deeps insides of us, but as Christians, we have the One in us who can give us the strength to stand up and say no to temptation.
We don’t have the strength on our own to be able to choose what is right, especially when it doesn’t feel good.
Fortunately, we serve a very good, ever-faithful God who works wonders in our weakness as we seek Him.
